How do automatic round-ups work?

Each time you make a purchase from one of your accounts synced to the app, Bitstack rounds it up to the nearest euro and automatically saves the difference in Bitcoin.

Example: you buy a coffee for €2.60 → Bitstack rounds up to €3.00 and saves €0.40 in Bitcoin.

Once a week, Bitstack totals all your round-ups and makes a single debit from your card, 7 days after your round-up plan is activated.

You can track your round-ups under Savings > Round-up, and view your transfers in the Activity tab.

How do I activate round-ups?

  1. Go to the Savings tab

  2. Tap Round-up

  3. Choose a multiplier

  4. Select the bank account(s) you want to sync with round-ups, or connect a new bank account

  5. Choose the cash account or a card from which the payments will be made, or add a new payment method.

Once activated, Bitstack starts counting your round-ups from your next purchase.

Which payments are included in round-ups?

Bitstack counts all debits from your bank accounts linked to round-ups:

  • Card payments (physical or online)

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay payments

  • SEPA transfers

  • Direct debits

How do I change the card used for debits?

  1. Go to the Savings tab

  2. Tap Round-up

  3. Under Payment method, select your current card

  4. Choose a different card or add a new one

How do I view my round-up history?

You can view the list of rounded-up transactions for the current week:

  1. Tap the Savings tab

  2. Tap Round-up

  3. Select List of rounded-up transactions

This list updates in real time with transactions received from your bank. Some transactions may take up to 48 hours to appear, depending on bank processing times.

Previous weeks cannot be viewed. This list resets after each weekly debit.

How to disable round-ups ?

  1. Open the Bitstack app and go to the Savings tab.

  2. Tap Round-ups.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Disable.

Your automatic round-up is immediately disabled. You can reactivate it at any time.

What happens if my round-up payment fails?

No need to worry. You can retry the payment manually:

  1. Go to Activity

  2. Tap the failed transaction

  3. Select Retry

  4. Follow the steps to complete the payment

If the Retry button does not appear, you can make a one-time investment for the same amount.

What about joint accounts?

If you have connected a joint account, Bitstack calculates round-ups on all visible purchases, regardless of which card was used. Round-ups are debited all at once, 7 days after your round-up plan is activated, from the card you have chosen.

Can I use round-ups with other currencies?

Round-ups currently work only with euro (€) bank accounts. Transactions in CHF, USD, or any other currency are not included.

For multi-currency accounts, only euro transactions are counted.

Are there any fees for round-ups?

The same fees apply to one-time and recurring card investments. Fees are calculated on the total amount of round-ups for the week, not on each individual transaction.

Example: you have accumulated €26 in round-ups this week → fees are applied once on this total amount.
