The Bitstack Card round-ups are a separate feature from the classic round-ups available through bank account syncing. Both share the same principle: rounding each purchase up to the nearest euro and saving the difference in Bitcoin. However, they work differently.
How do I enable or disable the Bitstack Card round-ups?
Go to the Cash tab
Tap Total round-ups in the Savings plan section
Enable or disable the round-up
Once enabled, the round-up applies automatically to every payment made with your Bitstack Card.
How do the Bitstack Card round-ups work?
Every time you make a payment with your Bitstack Card, the difference between the transaction amount and the next euro is automatically converted into Bitcoin.
Example: you pay €7.40 → Bitstack rounds up to €8.00 and converts €0.60 into Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin conversion takes place when the payment is confirmed by the banking network. If you have enabled notifications, you will receive a real-time alert.
What are the fees?
The Bitstack Card round-ups include no conversion fees.
The multiplier
You can amplify your round-ups by activating a multiplier: 1×, 2×, 5×, or 10×.
Example with a 5× multiplier: you pay €7.40 → the base round-up is €0.60 → Bitstack converts €3.00 into Bitcoin.
The multiplier stays in place until you change it.
What is the difference with the classic round-ups?
| Classic round-ups | Bitstack Card round-ups |
Trigger | Transactions from synced bank accounts | Bitstack Card payments |
Debit | Once a week | Included in each transaction |
Fees | Yes | None |
BTC conversion | On the weekly debit date | On payment confirmation |
The classic round-ups and the Bitstack Card round-ups are two separate plans. You can activate them independently.
