You think you've been a victim of fraud or a scam: what should you do?

If you believe you've been the victim of fraud or phishing involving your Bitstack account, act immediately. Here are the steps to follow.

Secure your account right away

Change your Bitstack password as soon as possible. This action automatically logs out all devices currently connected to your account, including any potential intruder's device.

Choose a strong, unique password that you don't use on any other service.

If you use the same email address on other platforms, update those passwords as well.

Contact our support team

Report the situation to our customer service team via the Bitstack app or our official website.

Please provide the following information:

  • The nature of the fraud (fraudulent email, phone call, fake website, etc.)

  • The approximate date and time of the incident

  • Any screenshots, messages, or evidence you have

Our team will handle your report and guide you through the next steps.

File a police report

If you suffered a financial loss, we strongly recommend filing a report with the relevant authorities (police station or your country's official cybercrime reporting platform).

Keep all evidence before taking action: screenshots, emails, text messages, phone numbers.

Law enforcement authorities wishing to contact us as part of an investigation are invited to send their request to our team at: subpoenas@bitstack-app.com.

Important: Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Once a transfer has been made, it cannot be cancelled. The faster you act, the more you limit the damage.
