💡 How do round-ups work?
When you make a purchase from one of your linked accounts, Bitstack rounds it up to the next euro and automatically invests the spare change in Bitcoin.
🧾 Example:
You buy a coffee for €2.60 → Bitstack rounds it to €3.00 and invests €0.40 in Bitcoin.
Each week, Bitstack adds up all your round-ups and charges one payment from your preferred card on Sunday evening 💸
👉 You can track round-ups in Savings > Round-Ups, and see your transfers in the Activity tab.
📌 Note: If your weekly round-ups total less than €1.00, Bitstack will still charge a minimum of €1.00.
🔁 Why use round-ups to invest?
Instead of trying to "time the market", Bitstack follows the Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy — investing smaller amounts regularly to reduce the impact of market volatility 📉📈
💳 What types of payments are counted?
Bitstack counts all debits from your linked bank account:
Card payments (in-store, online, contactless)
Apple Pay / Google Pay payments
SEPA transfers
Direct debits
ATM withdrawals
🔄 How do I change the card used for withdrawals?
Go to the Savings tab
Tap Round-Ups
Under Payment method, tap your current card
Choose your preferred card or add a new one ✅
📆 Can I view my round-up history?
To protect your privacy, Bitstack does not store round-up history from past weeks.
However, you can view your current week’s round-ups:
Tap the Savings tab
Tap Round-Ups
Select View round-up transactions
❌ What if my round-up payment failed?
No worries — you can retry the payment manually:
Go to the Activity tab
Tap the failed transaction
Select Retry
Follow the steps to complete your payment
If you don’t see the Retry button, you can simply make a one-time investment for the same amount.
👥 What about joint accounts?
If you link a joint account, Bitstack will calculate round-ups on all visible transactions, no matter which card was used.
Round-ups will be charged once a week, from the card of your choice, every Sunday evening 💳
🌍 Can I use round-ups with other currencies?
Currently, round-ups only work with Euro accounts (€).
If you link an account in CHF, USD, or another currency, those transactions won’t be included.
👉 For multi-currency accounts, only euro transactions are considered.
💰 Are there any fees on round-ups?
Yes, round-ups have the same fees as one-time or recurring card investments.
Fees are applied once per week on the total amount of round-ups — not per transaction.
📊 Example: You accumulate €26 in round-ups this week → fees are applied once on the €26 total.
