Bitcoin buying and selling fees

Bitstack charges fees on every Bitcoin purchase or sale. The exact amount is displayed on the confirmation screen before you confirm the transaction.

Starting September 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM (Paris time), fees depend on your plan (Standard or Bitstack Plus) and, for Standard, on your cumulative purchase and sale volume over the previous 30 days.

For existing Bitstack users, these new fees will take effect on September 15, 2026.

30-day rolling volume

Standard fees

Less than €250

1.50%

Between €250 and €1,000

1.25%

More than €1,000

1.00%

Bitstack Plus

Fixed 0.75%, regardless of volume

If a transaction moves you into the next tier, the reduced fee applies from that transaction onwards and remains valid for 30 days.

Example: a €250 purchase immediately benefits from the 1.25% fee instead of 1.50%.

Market price spread

In addition to fees, Bitstack may include a spread in the displayed price. Depending on market conditions, this spread ranges between 0% and 1%. The exact price is always shown on the confirmation screen before you confirm your order.

Bitstack sources Bitcoin through a liquidity provider. A rate slightly above the mid-market price may be used to increase the likelihood of a successful transaction and to hold the quoted price while your order is being processed.

Payment method fees (purchases by bank card)

Bitcoin transaction fees (Standard or Plus, see above) should not be confused with payment method fees:

  • If you purchase Bitcoin directly by bank card, a 0.70% payment method fee is added to your transaction fees. This fee applies to both the Standard plan and Bitstack Plus. With Bitstack Plus, you therefore pay a 0.75% transaction fee, plus a 0.70% payment method fee when purchasing Bitcoin directly by bank card.

  • If you fund your Euro Account for free by bank transfer and then purchase Bitcoin using this balance, no payment method fee applies: you only pay the Standard or Plus transaction fee.

Example with Bitstack Plus: Bitcoin purchase directly by bank card → 0.75% + 0.70%.

The cash account allows purchases of any amount with no minimum fee. If you save regularly in small amounts, opening a cash account may be more advantageous.

Funding your cash account

You can fund your Bitstack cash account in two ways:
