What is a Bitcoin confirmation?

When you withdraw Bitcoin, your transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network. It then needs to be included in a block on the blockchain to be considered confirmed.

Each new block added after the one containing your transaction represents an additional confirmation. The more confirmations a transaction has, the more final it is.

Bitstack considers a withdrawal final after 2 confirmations.

Where can I find my TxID (transaction ID)?

The TxID is a unique identifier assigned to each Bitcoin withdrawal. It allows you to look up your transaction on the blockchain.

To find it:

  1. Open the Bitstack app.

  2. Go to the Activity tab.

  3. Select the withdrawal you want to check.

  4. The TxID appears in the transaction details.

Note: If the TxID is not yet visible, your withdrawal is still being processed. You can contact our support team if the situation persists beyond 24 hours.

How do I check the status of my transaction?

From the app, you can view your withdrawal status in real time using a blockchain explorer.

  1. Open the Bitstack app.

  2. Go to the Activity tab.

  3. Select the withdrawal you want to track.

  4. Tap the Block Explorer button.

  5. You will be redirected to mempool.space, on the page dedicated to your transaction.

On this page, you can:

  • Check whether the transaction has been confirmed.

  • See the time it was sent.

  • View the network fees applied.

  • Track the destination address.
